NATURALLY OCCURRING CONTAMINANTS IN GROUNDWATER

Naturally occurring contaminants, such as arsenic, have been found in a small number of local wells.  Whether these contaminants pose health risks depends on the amount of the element present.  Many local agencies offer self-test kits or professional on-site sampling services; prices vary depending on the level of testing.

Self-administered test kits are available through the Ozaukee County Public Health Department.

On-site testing and self-administered testing kits are also available from the following entities:

  • Cardinal Environmental:  920-459-2500
  • Water Diagnostics:  414-350-1100
  • Laabs Well Drilling:  262-375-1020
  • Stantec Consulting Services:  262-241-4466
